When I moved into the retail end of the industry, working for the Marshall Field Company in Chicago, I became a top seller in the Tailored Clothing department with one sale totaling more than $64,000. I eventually moved into a more private and intimate sector of the industry when I became a personal shopper for both men and women. I did that for twelve years before starting my own company in 2007—the year Chicago Ragman was born.
As the personal shopper and chief stylist of Chicago Ragman, I go the extra mile to enhance my clients’ unique personas with a high level of style that leaves a lasting impression wherever they go. I take pride in consistently providing a personal shopping experience that helps them look and feel their best and always coming back for more. I credit my success to God, who gave me the gift, and Jerry Littell, that vice president of manufacturing who gave me my start more than 30 years ago.

My love affair with fine garments and high fashion began over 30 years ago. As a young man fresh out of college, I was hired to dissect garments for authenticity in the returns department of Joseph & Feiss Co., at that time one of the country’s largest manufacturer of tailored clothes. At the time, Joseph & Feiss, located in Cleveland, Ohio, was making both men and women’s clothing. Outside of a classroom or any textbook—I received a one-on-one education from the vice president of manufacturing on textile, fabric, construction, manufacturing, and fit. He stood beside me daily to inspect my work and make sure I was getting it right. My passion for fashion was being strengthened by a growing knowledge of what separates an average garment from the best. A stylist was being born.
My love for fine garments made me a quick study and high performer. Within a year, I was managing the department. Later I was promoted to the position of sales representative, first for the West Coast, and then for the Midwest. As a sales representative for the Midwest, I sold men’s and women’s fashions in eleven states, including Nebraska.
